Karimenga
Farmer Ibrahim and Abraham are leaders of the organic farming coalition in Karimenga Village.
Their farms are important demonstration sites for some of the best agroecological farming practices in their region.
During our 2025 immersion, we will work together to:
Share knowledge about permaculture design and traditional knowledge of place
Plant two food forest gardens near residential spaces, and fence them for protection again predation and elements
Start a tree nursery to store a variety of native trees to utilize for reforestation
Consider improvements for animal husbandry practices in Karimenga
Improve and implement compost systems
Continue research on the ethnobotany of Karimenga
